TS EAMCET 2018
TS EAMCET 2018 is an entrance exam which is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education. Through this exam, candidates are given admission in engineering, agriculture or medical courses at different colleges/ universities in the State of Telangana. JNTU, Hyderabad is responsible with conducting the TS EAMCET 2018 every year on the behalf of TSCHE. It is a state-level entrance exam.
Approximately 2 lakh candidates register annually for the Telangana Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test. Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) released the exam dates on December 28 on their official website i.e. tsche.ac.in. All the important dates with reference to the TS EAMCET are given below:
Important Dates
Release of Notification: Last Week of February, 2018
Release of Application Forms: Last Week of February, 2018
Last date to submit Application (Without paying the late fee): 3rd week of March, 2018
Last date to submit Application (With paying the late fee): 1st week of April, 2018
Window to correct submitted details: 1st week of April, 2018- 2nd week of April, 2018
Availability of Admit Cards: Last week of April, 2018
Examination Starts: 2nd May to 5th May, 2018
Result Announcement: Last week of May, 2018
Application Form:
Interested candidates are requested to go through the information notification carefully to fill the application form. Aspirants should check the following details in the application form:
- The application form will only be available online.
- The application form will be rolled out in the last week of February 2018.
- Candidates are requested to fill in all the details very carefully in the form
- Candidates should cross-check all the details they have filled in before hitting the SUBMIT button.
- Once this process has been completed, there is need to send the application form in offline mode.
Application Fee
- The payment of the application fee is the first step you have to do in the registration procedure.
- There are 2 ways to pay the application fee of TS EAMCET 2018. They are enlisted below:
- TS Online/ AP Online Centers/ Mee Seva Centers/ E-seva centers in Telangana/ AP
- Through Payment Gateway (Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking)
The application fee to candidates from different streams is as follows:
- Engineering Courses
For SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 250
For others: Rs. 500
- Agricultural Courses
For SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 250
For others: Rs. 500
- For both Engineering and Agricultural Courses
For SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 500
For others: Rs. 1000
TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria:
Following are the parameters you have to consider in order to be eligible for Bio-Technology, Engineering, Pharmacy and B.Sc Courses:
Nationality: The student must either be a Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Indian Nationality or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
Qualification: The candidate should be have passed Class 12th Examination
Diploma Candidates: Candidates holding a diploma can also apply for this examination
Subjects: The most important subjects one has to have knowledge of for this examination are Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics
Percentage: They should have scored a minimum of 45% in the entrance exam and the score is 40% for reserved category
Residency: The candidates from Telangana or Andhra Pradesh can only apply for this exam
Age Criteria:
> At the time of admission, the candidate must have completed 16 years of age
> There exists no age limit for this exam
> For B. Tech. (FS & T), B.Sc. (CA & BM), B. Tech (Dairy), B. Tech (Agriculture Engineering) courses, the candidate should have completed 17 years on 31st December and the upper age limit is 22.
> For SC/ST categories, the upper age limit is 25 years
BAMS/BHMS/BNYS Courses
Qualifications: Any candidate who has passed Class 12th is eligible to apply
Subjects Required:Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany
Age: 17 years on the 31st of December, 2018. There is no upper age limit.
Pharmacy and Pharm. D Course
Qualification: Interested candidates should have appeared or passed 12th from AP/Telangana board or other recognized board
Subjects: =Physics, Chemistry and Biology (optional)
Percentage: Candidates should have scored a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST)
Age: Candidates should have completed 16 years of age by the date of admission. However, There is no upper age limit.
